Potter

Track your plants, nurture your garden

Why Potter?

I created Potter because I love houseplants but honestly struggled to keep them alive. Despite my best intentions, I'd forget to water them, place them in the wrong spots, and watch them slowly decline. I'm definitely not someone with a "green thumb."

I looked for plant care apps but kept running into the same problems: expensive subscriptions for basic features, locked-in AI systems I couldn't customize, and reminders that didn't actually help me understand what my plants needed. So I built Potter—the app I wished existed.

Potter is built on three principles:

Always free for core plant care. Watering schedules, care reminders, and plant tracking will never be behind a paywall. Your ability to care for your plants shouldn't depend on your ability to pay a subscription.

Your AI, your choice. Bring your own AI capability to get personalized advice for your specific plants and problems. No vendor lock-in, no forced upgrades.

Actually helpful reminders. Not just notifications you'll ignore, but a system designed to fit into your real life—because you always have your phone with you, even if you don't always remember to check on your plants.

I use Potter every day for my own houseplants. It helped me rescue a dying orchid that's now thriving. It brought a wilting Kalanchoe back to life. And it keeps all my other plants healthy without me having to maintain some perfect schedule.

If you love plants but struggle to care for them consistently, Potter might be exactly what you need too.
